Sing for the Cure:
A Proclamation of Hope
Northwest Premiere
October 11, 2025
Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall
A brief overview
ORS is honored to present the Northwest premiere of Sing for the Cure: A Proclamation of Hope on October 11, 2025, headlining for the first time at the prestigious Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall. This powerful narrated choral-orchestral work is designed to raise awareness about breast cancer. Originally premiered 25 years ago narrated by Maya Angelou, Sing for the Cure is celebrating its milestone anniversary with performances by 10 choirs nationwide—and ORS is honored to be part of this significant tribute.
This concert is more than just music—it’s a powerful platform for education, awareness, and healing, uniting the performing arts and healthcare to make a meaningful community impact. ORS has committed to donate at least 20% of net proceeds to the Pink Lemonade Project, a local nonprofit dedicated to improving access to breast health and cancer services, ensuring better outcomes for all communities affected by breast cancer.
Goals
Raising awareness about breast cancer and the importance of early detection.
Honoring survivors, patients, and those who have lost their battle to breast cancer.
Building a sense of community through music, fostering hope, resilience, and support.
Donating at least 20% of net proceeds to the Pink Lemonade Project to support local breast cancer services and initiatives.
