“Fern Hill” - The recording features John Corigliano’s “Fern Hill” for chorus, orchestra and soloists. The lilting melodies and close harmonies in this work are reminiscent of a New England landscape and evoke the perfect image conveyed by the test of the piece which is a poem by Dylan Thomas. The recording also includes pieces by American composers Cecil Effinger and Mel Powell.
